Comments on New Acquisitions

A conversation with Edmund Barry Gaither. Learn how new works come into The Museum’s collection and how they are shaping its future.

Among works recently acquired are an exquisite African robe, a contemporary assemblage by well-known Haitian artist Patrick Gerald Wah, a striking mixed-media Mardi Gras painting by Robert Freeman, several delightful drawings of Boston African American Artists by master draughtsman Milton Derr, and a series of African-inspired dramatic works on paper by Deta Salome Pitts Galloway, amongst other works.
